- From Cebu: You can opt for a direct ferry from Cebu City to Siquijor. OceanJet provides a connecting service via Tagbilaran, Bohol, with a total travel time of about 5 hours and 20 minutes. Fares start at ₱1,600 . Lite Ferries also offers a direct route, though it takes approximately 10 hours.
- From Bohol: If you’re already in Bohol, several ferries run daily between Tagbilaran and Siquijor. The journey typically takes 1 to 2 hours, and multiple departures are available throughout the day .

Siquijor enjoys a tropical climate, with the dry season typically spanning from December to May. During this period, the weather is ideal for beach activities and outdoor adventures. However, occasional thunderstorms can occur, especially in the late afternoon. It’s advisable to check the local weather forecast before planning your activities.

If you’ve rented a scooter (which I highly recommend for exploring the island), take a ride inland to the Siquijor Observation Tower. Perched at one of the highest points on the island, the tower offers 360-degree views of Siquijor’s lush terrain and coastlines. But honestly, the journey there is just as spectacular as the destination—the winding roads pass through small villages, dense jungle, and peaceful farmland.

You can’t visit Siquijor without diving into a bit of its mystical side. Head to the old enchanted Balete tree, said to be over 400 years old and rumored to have magical powers. At the base of the tree, a natural spring feeds a small fish spa—dip your feet in and let the tiny fish nibble away dead skin.
And for a fun, quirky photo op, don’t miss the chance to “fly” on a witch’s broomstick at one of the roadside attractions—you’ll see signs offering this unique (and Instagrammable) experience.

This was hands-down my favorite place to eat on the island. Whether you’re indulging in a hearty pasta, a wood-fired pizza, or simply sipping wine under the stars, Dolce Amore delivers on both flavour and atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed evening meal after a day of exploring. Just be prepared—it’s popular for a reason, so it’s worth arriving a bit early during peak dinner hours!
